Modern starlets are one thing, but in order to evolve, we have to sometimes look at the beauties of the past. One of my personal favorites: Brigitte Bardot. French sexpot model/actress popular in the late 1950s and early 60s idealized and set the stage for a coy, come-hither beauty that was loose at the same time completely staged: Undeniably blonde, undone hair, tan, smoldering eyes and nude lips. Reprised regularly by new-millenium bombshells (Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton) this look will never go out of style.
Get the look with one of Too Faced’s fun palette collections; we like Bathing Beauty:
The Bathing Beauty knew she needed a man to bankroll her leisurely, luxurious lifestyle, but she couldn’t decide what sort. He, of course, had to be willing to buy her diamonds for absolutely no reason at all, and she positively had to have beach houses in Malibu, Maui, St. Barths, The Rivera, and Monaco so she could work on her beautifully bronzed glow year round – and this kit was always at her side to help her lure in the bait.
Palette includes three 0.21 oz eyeshadows in teal, champagne, and pink shimmers; four 0.14 oz lip colors in champagne shimmer, golden pink shimmer, pink, and bronze shimmer; and a 0.22 oz cheek color in peach, plus a double-ended brush and shadow applicators.
What could be more fun than that? And of course, no bombshell look would be complete without smelling completely delicious. We’re all over Benefit’s classic Maybe Baby, a light floral with hints of light ginger and warm peach. ♥
